GOVERNBOX.ai AI Leadership Course · Level 1 of 3

Become a certified AI Governance Lead

Somebody at your organization is accountable for AI governance. Often they were handed it without training, a budget or a precedent to follow. This is the training for that person — and a credential that proves they did it.

Who put it together

Written by someone who has done this work

The curriculum was written by the founder of GOVERNBOX.ai, from AI governance programs run in practice rather than assembled from templates. It is taught for the person who now carries that responsibility at their own organization, usually without a team of specialists behind them.

The curriculum

Four modules, and a graded exam at the end

Each module ends in a quiz you have to pass before the next one opens, so the credential means the whole curriculum rather than a lucky exam draw. The final exam draws 20 questions from a larger pool and asks for 80% to pass.

MODULE 121 min · 5 questions

The CAIO Mandate

What the role is accountable for, the questions it must answer, and how a governance program is measured.

MODULE 235 min · 6 questions

Foundations

Context, inventory, grounded policy, approval and the risk register — the records that answer the five questions.

MODULE 333 min · 8 questions

From Setup to Program

Training evidence, the standard staff read, crosswalks, impact assessments and agent governance.

MODULE 426 min · 6 questions

Proving It

Incidents, depth over novelty, board reporting, and sequencing a governance year.

The ladder

Three credentials. This is the first.

The AI Governance Lead is the entry credential and the only one you can earn today. Two more are planned above it, and they will be paid — a paid plan and/or a paid training account.

LEVEL 1Available now

AI Governance Lead

The person who was handed AI governance. Four modules, a quiz after each, and a final exam on the whole curriculum.

Included with any GOVERNBOX.ai subscription, free trial included. No extra charge.

LEVEL 2Planned

AI Governance Program Manager

Running the program rather than standing it up: cadence, evidence, cross-functional ownership and board reporting over a full year.

Not yet available. It will require a paid plan and/or a paid training account.

LEVEL 3Planned

Certified AI Officer

Accountable for the whole program — strategy, risk appetite, regulatory exposure and the decisions an executive has to defend.

Not yet available. It will require a paid plan and/or a paid training account.

The credential

Something you can actually show

Add it to your LinkedIn profile

One click fills in the certification name, the issuer, the date, the credential ID and the verification link. Nothing to type.

A link anyone can check

Every credential gets its own verification page showing the holder, the date and the exam score. Paste it anywhere and it renders as a card.

A PDF and an embeddable badge

Download the certificate for an application, or paste the live badge into an email signature — it stays current without you replacing it.

What we will not claim. This is a training credential issued by Gradient Descent LLC, not a regulatory qualification or an accreditation, and it does not certify any organization’s compliance with any law. It says you completed this curriculum and passed its exam — which is exactly what the verification page says too. It does not expire, and it stays verifiable whether or not you or your employer ever hold a GOVERNBOX.ai subscription.
